Sorting by Column Heading:
Many programs display items in columns. E-mail has headings such as 'Received'
(date the e-mail was received by your server), 'From' (The address or display
name of the sender), 'Subject' (some indication of the contents of the e-mail).
Clicking on a heading will sort the entire list by that heading. Clicking again
will reverse the order. There may be a little triangle which will indicate ascending
or descending order. This becomes handy for locating a particular e-mail when
all you can remember is the approximate date it came in or who sent it or what
it was about.
'Re: before the subject means that the message is a Reply to a previous message,
When you sort by subject the 'Re': is ignored. Therefore if there are multiple
replies that have come to you regarding the same original e-mail, they will
all be sorted together. Similarly 'FW:' prior to the subject indicates the message
has been forwarded.
When you open a Folder using Explorer or through 'My Computer' you can select
'View' --> 'Detail'. This will display the contents in columns, which can
be used for sorting. by Name, Type, Size or date Modified. This can e very useful
in locating a type or particular file in a large Directory/Folder. Try all the
different views to see which makes the most sense for you.

Bonus Tip: Netiquette
When you forward or reply to an e-mail it can be fully edited. Take the time
to clean out extra header info, or anything else that is not really necessary
to be forwarded. The effort is appreciated and the e-mail is more likely to
be read.
